Thread: Initramfs - fail to mount /dev, /sys and /proc in /root

don't know why happened. before rebooted, not see content on windows update or shut-down (if tried install , asked confirmation, window blank. or before shut down, had push enter, since windows blank.)

don't think installed , computer working fine before.

can tell me can do? don't want reinstall again.

if have old kernel , initramfs, try boot that.

otherwise have boot cd (or usb stick) ubuntu rescue mode, mount root filesystem, mount /sys /proc /dev (with --bind option), chroot root filesystem , run update-initramfs.
