PPro2 best bitrates for transcoding in AME to DVD
hello. have created 165-minute movie (including 8 minutes of motion menus) authored menus/chapters in tmpg authoring works 4. i'm exporting ppro2 via adobe media encoder transcoding mp2, , have space left on due current bitrate settings: 1.5 minimum, 6 target, 8 maximum. resulting master factory-replicated glass master. audio transcoded stereo ac3 only; no subtitles.
tmpg showing current movie size 7.323gb. increase bitrate settings in ame best possible visual quality, i've read various limit recommendations of 7, 8, or @ 9mbps max setting. burn verbatim dvd+r dl shows usable space of 8.025gb. can assume factory replicating avoid dvd player compatability problems due high bitrates?
my bit budget calculator v.2 gives maximum video-only bitrate of 9.352mbps, average bitrate of 6.594, , video-only target bitrate of 6.146. target number doable, wonder if dare boost max 9mbps (which bit budget calculator says should not exceeded), while keeping minimum @ 1.5
any advice bitrates appreciated. thank you.
i think max = 8 high, go. bumping min 1.5. why have chosen low min?
good luck,
hunt
