Thread: Dual-booting Questions with Windows already installed

okay want dual boot ubuntu on machine have vista installed on. have lot of files on machine reason haven't done already. wondering how dangerous try , without backing files up? not recommend doing this? don't want take time files up. make difference if had separate clean hard drive install ubuntu it's own or still best way?

if going pretty dangerous not stuff will, have tb worth of files on computer not want lose obviously. know noob-ish , answer obvious, want ubuntu experts opinions on matter.

when first dual booted, didnt bother up. went well. think suggest backup.
