mod_rewrite not working after following instructions - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i using godaddy linux hosting , conclusion apache mod_rewrite not working.

i getting this:

internal server error
the server encountered internal error or misconfiguration , unable complete request.
please contact server administrator, support@supportwebsite.com , inform them of time error occurred, , might have done may have caused error.

more information error may available in server error log.

i have followed steps provided through link (by way, good):

i called godaddy , said server reset , nothing still worked.

it meets miniumum requirements, joomla version date, selected 1st , 2nd option sef url, changed htacess.text file .htacess. same screen above when placed google in it. because godaddy, unable apache mod_rewrite file. have changed global config normal website operational.

please advice...i need site sef.

you can test see if .htaccess being honored putting in simple redirect directive this:

redirect /test http://www.google.com

if put in .htaccess , browse http://www.warr10r.com/test should redirect google. if doesn't , produces same error .htaccess file may corrupt.

godaddy has file matches this. claims may corrupt .htaccess file , gives possible fixes: http://help.godaddy.com/article/1655

usually problems .htaccess file because apache config or virtual host file has allow overrides set none means ignore .htaccess. don't see errors in case, doesn't expect.
