Thread: 10.04, grub2, and virtual box woes.
hi all. need help, i'm trying virtualize windows xp hosted ubuntu 10.04.
have older box has windows xp running on 160gb sata disk. have acquired 160gb sata disk. installed second disk , load 10.4 on without hitch.
i'm running ubuntu, , can see windows disk. can browse files, no problem. can dual boot, though haven't tried yet. want use virtual box create virtual xp machine, within 10.4, using old xp disk.
i've tried follow how-to in forum, old. i've tried adapt them, bogged down grub vs grub2 issue. have succeeded in making bootable cd, don't understand grub.cfg changes necessary... or necessity of cd (though i'm sure necessary).
has out there succeeded in doing similar? i'd know how. i'd willing write how-to endeavor, if can work.
cheers,
paul.

cheers,
paul.
