Premier Pro CS4, Am I expecting too much from my system
i editing project contains video live concert: 4 camera, hd, wide screen p2 files. mxf files. anyhow, i've had better luck editing on my
laptop i5 4 gigs of memory , esata drive on desktop system outlined @ end of message:
i using multi-camera mode make cuts. in multicamera jittery , stops. if play timeline in program monitor (not blown up) works , plays video no problems. if play in full screen, it's jittery.
i've been pc guy long time i've considered buying mac pro , going final cut because i've spent days trying debug this. big investment! thoughts?
i've experimented putting cache, scratch files, , project files on different disks no better results.
my virtual disk 500gig, or 50000mb (i think calculated correct.) anyhow, minimum size number input 50000, , largest size same.
i have 6 gigs of memory.
