Scripting Question?

hello,

  complicated script question. don't need scipted me or want know if can done. can have script automatically launched upon opening document?

 

because here need:

 

1. have coupon magazine company expiration dates in every document x 1,000 atleast

2. have default dates every issue need set to. i.e. previous 10/01/10, , need them all change 11/26/10

3. have 4 network drives accessed art department.

 

so, on artists client machines, can script launched when open document 1 of 4 network drives can change reading 10/01/10 11/26/10? way have change default date in script once every 2 months. magazine ships 6 times year. don't have change script often, repitition of changing on 1000 dates tedious!!!!  , needs automatic?

 

or can plugin made even?

which version of indesign?

 

tell scripting guy check out after_open events...

 

if don't need otherwise open docs, batch script might better option...
