Fonts not registering

i'm using indesign cs3 on windows xp platform. have installed on computer helvetica neue family of fonts. reside in fonts folder , shows components there.

 

but, when working in indesign, helvetica neue fonts not in normal (top) list of fonts bulk of fonts reside. @ bottom asian fonts. , members of helvetica neue family listed are:

helvetica neue

helvetica neue condensed

helvetica neue condensed black

helvetica neue light
helvetica neue ultralight

 

when using regular helvetica neue font , want select bold, displays bold italic in copy helvetica neue bold on menu , in character dialog box. going wrong font in indesign. if using word, can use members of family no problem.

 

any suggestions how can helvetica neue family of fonts appear in fonts folder appear in top list of fonts in indesign , work properly. say, in fonts folder , work fine when working in ms word.
