Thread: not booting after update

hi,
in middle of update on acer mini 1 netbook 10.04 netbook remix , had leave. closed lid hoping continue de update home. when try boot up, machine gets login screen , seems freezes there. tried rebooting , going in safe mode , seems freezes also. got liveusb , decided try , works, data on 1 of partitions old, theres nothing of new files had earlier. there way me troubleshoot boot see whats bothering girl?

while booting in safe mode computer halts following message...

please advice...
