Your RAW Workflow

hey all,

 

i need ideas or alternatives here.

 

at present time when go edit raw file, make needed changes can in cameraraw window comes , have picture open in full editor.  color corrections, etc.  @ point save photo psd file version set original.  allows me have lossless copy of photo of lighting , color correction made.  then, photo make different crops , other edits needed.  these save jpg because small , edited no further.  these photos have printed or distribute in other ways.

 

i similar pictures point , shoot.  original jpg start doing basic adjustments , saving psd file.

 

my problem workflow when save photo psd, 5mb raw file become 15+ mb psd file.  final jpg files not of problem.  know storage cheap, out of hand quick.

 

those of work raw files, brief description of workflow.  trying figure out if there better now, or should settle in , buy large hard drive (and backup drives) storing photos?

i assume these color corrections more using temperature , tint sliders. correct?

the better thing switch lightroom, raw workflow can done without making files put on hard disk (except temporarily send printer or web or wherever).

 

in pse, think workflow streamlined going get, unless can achieve color corrections via tempaerature , tint, in case can skip saving psd files.
