Data merge - can you insert multiple fields at once?

hi,

 

i'm using indesign cs4.

 

i'm automating series of reports using data merge csv file. each row in csv file holds data each individual report - 135 reports in total.

 

the thing is, each report contains text comments research interviews - reports have maybe 10 or comments, others have on 600! fields called comment001, comment002 ... right comment620 (or so).

 

indesign seems let me insert fields data merge 1 @ time - won't let me shift-select range of fields ... alternative manually insert 620 fields 1 click @ time!! ouch...

 

does know of way around this?

hi,

i don't know how add multiple cells data merge @ once maybe easier combine comment fields or @ least several ranges using spreadsheet program before merge.
