PSE8 Editor Crashing

i've been working in pse8 4-6 weeks , loving it.  last week decided load software came camera work raw photos.  ever since i've been unable work in pse8 editor.  started when went erase texture nothing happening.  next step opening editor close , give me error message (i can't remember message said anymore), digressed opening , closing no error message.

 

the first thing did remove camera software , when didn't work unistalled & installed again, pse8.

 

i spent 45 minutes adobe support , thing able set user id on computer.  can open & use editor on new id can't load of new actions i've accumulated because new user id doesn't have access program data folder.

 

my preference working again under original user id nothing i've done far has made difference.

 

has else run problem?  i've seen lot here organizer acting same way nothing yet on editor not working.  if have insight please share it.  thank you.

you might try deleting editor preferences see if helps.

 

hold down ctrl+alt+shift (windows) or command+option+shift (mac) after (or while) launching photoshop. prompt ask if want delete preferences file. click yes.
