Cap4: Quiz slides advance after clicking Submit without first displaying success/failure captions

i'm using captivate 4 on windows xp platform. have question pool , random question slides in file. in compiled file, on intermittent , random basis, when answer question , click submit, file advances next question without first displaying success/failure captions, not pausing me click again before advancing. other questions act correctly, display captions, , pause until click again before proceeding next question. it's random whether erratic behavior happen, @ point happen, , questions or type of questions happen.

 

assuming corrupt, i've deleted , re-entered question slides, still happens. next attempt recreate question pool itself, , doesn't work, recreate entire file... jeez!

 

has else encountered this/have solution?

after doing more experimenting, see problem when using hot spot question type. took question slides out of pool , placed them directly in filmstrip , random factor disapeared. after answering hot spot question behavior of not displaying success/failure captions subsequent questions appeared. found same behavior in captivate 5. i've reported issue adobe bug.
