Joomla won't install - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi

i unzipped joomla 1.5 on pc. plan use on "localhost". os win vista home premium using xampp. xampp has been installed , running apache , mysql.

i try open /administrator/index.php , receive following.

object not found!

the requested url not found on server. if entered url manually please check spelling , try again.

if think server error, please contact webmaster.

i set on machine , worked fine. i'm uncertain in error.

with vista if installed xampp in program files folder have access problems. using php 5.3 need using joomla 1.5.15 version tested work php 5.3.
