Some quick thoughts and concerns

first let me love coldfusion , love working as possible. said, see, hear, , read alot of negative comments , general out bashing of coldfusion in other forums , settings. obviously, forum might biased, dont understand why cf not more accepted , used today. can see how people turned off cf finding out price of software. other free alternatives, while not easy learn, more overlooked faults , learning curve because it's free. 1 of concerns future of cf how longer can adobe justify price of cf when there open source alternatives available blue dragon or railo. again, i'm not here bashing cf, love it! , want continue using it, little support countless hosting providers, , industry support moving further away cf, love see solution.

 

i guess still dont understand why cf , many adobe products, in particular dreamweaver, hasn't procurred more substanial share of industry market. kinda makes me sad! lol

 

any thoughts or ideas on subject welcomed.

i think adobe target "enterprise" space more small operators. , upfront cost isn't such consideration there compared total cost of ownership.

 

whether or not that's reasonable, won't say, i'm pretty sure that's how see it.
