"Create a DTD" cannot find XML application

i'm working opening chapters in fm8 structure application developer guide , i'm stuck @ page 39/40.  i've created edd, altered structapps.fm file , defined read/write rules (which saved imaginative name "readwriterules".)

 

following instructions went edd , added structuredapplication element, looks this:

element catalog

version

structuredapplication       readwriterules.fm

 

however, when select structuretools>save dtd... first off, "save type:" doesn't offer .dtd option.  typed "dtd test.dtd" file name , clicked save.  error message saying "application "readwriterules.fm" not exist"

 

in define read/write rules section, doesn't specify, saved default (as .fm file.)  however, create dtd section talks xml application, tried saving "readwriterules.xml" , changing edd "readwriterules.xml", still same error message.

 

any suggestions appreciated!

ok, figured out.  mistakingly putting file name of xml application in edd, not application name specified within xml application.  (what manual suggests use "quickstart".)

 

now it's happy.
