Hosting question, php4 to 5, joomla 1.5.14 to .15 - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hey there, i've been hosting lot of sites on shared servers through godaddy (no need lecture, know challenges), had php4 of course, stayed way, works me,
anywway, latest install of joomla, 1.5.15, errors mess, know there's fix, doesn't fix clean
and says upgrade php5. can't without affecting 20 other sites.
so, if upgrade, affect other sites? stretch joomla 1.0, , bark want, still work fine me , users.
or should keep using joomla 1.5.14? i'd love upgrade php5 if didn't mean tweaking 20+ sites.

greetings:
well, don't need lecture on godaddy, not, heard enough , still chose stick at.
joomla 1.5.14 , all prior versions have security issues. given on godaddy (enough said) , on vulnerable versions running version of php no authorized , visa/mc approved pci compliance company going validate (meaning instant failure on pci security scans), playing fire or russian roulette.
since love godaddy , happy godaddy, enough said there.
i encourage review http://docs.joomla.org/migrating_from_1 ... 1.5_stable , work on upgrading sites @ least 1.5.14, upgrading php @ least 5.2.10, , sites 1.5.15.
granted 1.5.15 best target there work arounds php 4; , php 4 last... either way, stay @ playing fire.
thank you.
