paragraph styles created in chapter 1 cannot be chosen for other chapters

hi.now have determined of 'paragraph styles' ebook. again hints saved me time after wasted time.

 

new > book > book1

new > doc > choose preset

add > doc > toc book1  [which toc in print version]

add >doc > chapter1

click toc make master , select it.

layout > toc [add paragraph styles used in chapter1] save style tocbook1 [deselected replace existing toc]

 

click + add next chapter2 [this selected , can see paragraph styles]

- when double click open chapter2

- 'basic paragraph +', 'normal' 'footnote text' , 'paragraph style 1'  available.

as entered each chapter book correct toc (finally)

- unable select text >paragraph style > , see p-styles listed in chapter1:  chapterheading, chaptersubdescription, chaptersubtitle, paragraphspacing, dialogue....

 

notes may useful troubleshooting:

i ran major messup 'loading' 'all' p-styles.  looked idea.  worked time time loaded them rather deselecting things.  have not clue did here but

 

the result: all of footnotes listed in resulting toc navigation panel in .epub readable in adobe digital reader.

 

what ended doing:

after experimenting ton - still unable rectify problem carried on each toc tried generate scratch ended deleting pretty 'indesign books',  indesigndocs tocs, , epub files.

 

any appreciated again.  ready roll if know mean.

i don't understand you're trying do.

are saying don't have paragraph styles in rest of chapters???

are this:

book1

     chapter1 (this 1 has p styles)

     chapter2 (this 1 doesn't)

     chapter3 (this 1 doesn't)

 

if that's case need sync p styles.

you using nominating chapter take information clicking chapter 1 in little box left in book window click on flyout menu on book window

go stync options select p styles , c styles

then sync book, populate remaining chapters styles in chapter one.

you need open each chapter individualy , apply relevant styles paragraphs.
