Thread: Best way to password protect a folder on a flash drive?
i have folder on flash drive keep sensitive info (important numbers, passwords, etc.) , protect info in event gets hold of drive.
figured best method encryption started experimenting gpg, encountered problems mentioned here:

still haven't found solution i'm looking possible alternatives. shown in above thread, recommended using ecryptfs or encfs directory. before spend anymore time researching stuff, has tried using these before? work , think these suit needs?
other alternative can think compressing folder password protected rar file. work or leaving data vulnerable?
also, prefer solution still allow me backup folder using rsync. keep , up-to-date backup of entire flash drive syncing flash drive using rsync.
i use truecrypt protect files dont want viewed others. creates partition on hd , can store sensitive info in there. impossible access without password.
