unlock all locked paths,groups, sublayers nested inside layer you click on in layer palette
i lock separate paths or groups nested within layers , sub layers, using them templates or guides without converting them guides, or because i`m drawing image base , adding paths, start simple detailed.
with in mind, considering have groups , paths locked 3 4 layers deep,
i`d able , temporarily,
unlock objects nested within layer, top level layer or sublayer or group.
currently alt can lock/ unlock layers on palette,
but not layers , groups nested within layer in 1 action. or groups , paths nested within group.
it helpful if unlock locked paths, groups , layers nested within top layer they inhabit.
because when want move paths within top level layer have dig groups , layers unlock individual paths locked specific reasons using them template or base work off.
a helpful option in layers palette drop down, and on base of layers palette, instruct “unlock locked paths (layers, groups, paths)nested within selected layer”
another quick useful solution allow temporary access locked path, selection tool, pressing alt. when choose v selection tool, if alt drag on selection of unlocked , locked paths, able select paths, including locked paths, move them or resize them action only.
this way can avoid having open layers palette , dig through layers, , groups within layers, unlock paths required. yet can still have specific paths , groups locked because alt + selection tool temporary unlocking option. doesn’t remove lock symbol paths in layers palette.
also i`d able shift click object selection area in layers palette, select stack of consecutive paths, files in windows explorer. i know can select top level layer in instances selects layers within, end having shift click layers don`t want anyway, frustrating , adding work required achieve intended purpose.
i`d rather able shift click central region of layer name activate selection of paths instead of far right because activate paths transforming, moving, resizing , reshaping lot more moving paths between layers once ive set stacks up.
i`d have ability right click path hover over, or object , unlock/lock right click menu.
