creating other pages on website - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i recreating http://www.thedasforum.org using joomla. have created front page. see please go http://dasnew.thedasforum.org/. however, not sure how proceed other pages on website. e.g. if click on "about us" or other menu item top, takes second page , layout different.

1) should rest of pages on website articles? modules? need show small menu on left on pages front. may create module small menu? (small menu are, etc.)

2) there picture on each page, should created module well?

with of forum have been able creat first page , appreciate help!

yes. create article each of pages. joomla gives more flexibility "one article per page" start.

may create module small menu?

exactly. each of side bar menus put in own module. create menu in "menu manager" , add items menu. but, configure , on pages shows in extensions -> module manager.

note: sure create pages menu item leads before create menu items.

there picture on each page, should created module well?

the way using picture (a "flash" movie, actually) require in module. so, answer here "yes."

now, if had other pictures, embed them in article. but, because flash movie / graphic spans width of page (not width of body of article) need put module.
