Doubt about FlexBuilder 4 Plugin Eclipse Helios/Ganymede

i downloaded days ago two adobe flex builder 4 installers, standalone , plugin eclipse

 

i can see adobe flex builder 4 standalone has own .exe flashbuilder.exe

 

now here confusion

 

i have eclipse jee helios installed in pc , execute adobe flex builder 4 plugin installer,

in point ask choice option of two

 

1) use eclipse ganymede incorporated/integrated flex builder

or

2) select target/directory location of eclipse (i use , helios)

 

after of installation, directory flex builder 4 plugin is created

where can see many folders, these 2 specially

 

• eclipse
• eclipse-host-distro (this eclipse ganymede location, installed anyway, when chosen helios' target location )
  

 

after see contents each folder second has eclipse.exe

 

these doubts

 

1) when execute eclipse jee helios , create flex project, question is, helios call special .exe execute flex plugin work flex environment? if yes, exactly?

 

2) if execute eclipse.exe from eclipse-host-distro directly open eclipse ganymede, therefore according point (1), again, how eclipse helios open flex environment?, since in adobe flex builder 4 plugin directory installation exists eclipse ganymede, why not exists problem or conflict while runtime execution of eclipse helios apparently not work eclipse ganymede

hi manuel,

 

there's no hidden exe gets called helios - fb plugins being loaded helios virtue of link you'll find in helios dropins folder.

 

the copy of eclipse bundled fb4 (please see eclipse.ini file) contain customized memory settings, might want copy vmargs memory settings on copy of helios well, make sure fb4 plugins have enough memory run efficiently.
