Problem cutting/pasting between documents

having problem: cutting , pasting text between documents results in strangely altered text (specifically, punctuation @ end of paragraph appears in new location, few words ahead of schedule. eg if type following in 1 document:

 

this test. typing.
now adding graphs, right?

 

and cut , paste another, this:

 

.this test. typing
?now adding graphs, right

 

 

the 'problem' document created in hebrew, , way things switching right left has me suspicious. or corrupt?

 

 

using indesign cs5 on macintosh. problem happening no matter copies of indesign open docs , try operation.

a bit more clarification: what's going on recieved template israeli publisher. have use prepare , english-language publication. seem have no problems cutting , pasting english texts documents created in english originally-in-hebrew template. however, checked , seems pasting  english texts of documents laid out on originally-hebrew-template results in backwards punctuation, flush left formatting , drop caps gone right side, etc.

 

we've figured out export text israeli document rtf , imports english document. there way cut , paste? there setting needs changing? or bug?
