serverside vs clientside

i hope start discussion rather direct answer here

in recent times js has become capable of accessing databases through ajax

 

does make serverside scripts obsolete?
-server side scripts cannot react users actions (unless page refresh immidiatly triggered)
-server side scripts cannot manipulate page after has finished loading (so user-database interaction cannot triggered through use of animated features such drag , droppable objects).
-one negative thing have noticed ajax powed database manipulation user cannot use button view last thing of course useful in many situations.
