Error messages when using InCopy packages

i have editor travels lot, , having consistant problems using packaging workflow in incopy. believe of problems human error - don't have technical reasons error messages. there have been error messages received artists when package , try update id file.

 

we using cs4 , macs snowleopard oss.

 

can please explain these errors mean below?

 

1. incopy user - when opening icml file (after first opening package. going icml doc more editing)

 

" "" not found. want postpone recovery?

click yes recover document later

click no delete recovery data document

click cancel postpone document recovery til later"

 

2. incopy user - when trying package email indesign user

 

"this assignment includes missing or modified links. low resolution versions used missing items, , saved versions used modified links. continue packaging?"

 

3. incopy user - when packaging send indesign user email

 

"an error message occured when sending email"

(and package not attached email)

- recurring 1 incopy user

 

4. indesign user received package , when tried open it, error message said assignments couldn't found , file wouldn't open. file name hadnt been changed , find no reason why package wouldn't open. (sorry, artist didn't screenshot actual message one).

 

any great - , stop mutiny editors!

error message 1 appears when incopy or indesign reopens first time after crash. it's try recover documents open when program crashed. error message if files located on server , we're not connected, happen if file has been moved it's original location. whether or not need recover file drive response.

 

error 2: sounds incopy package either not include links or linked files have been moved or modified since opening package. if can relink images after files come back, it's ok them proceed packaging. personally, uncheck box includes images when creating assignment. editor still able see greyed out previews of images, won't available editing. makes package files lot smaller.

 

error 3: problem user's default email client. instead of having them choose return indesign , email," have them choose "return indesign" , save desktop. can attach package outgoing email manually.

 

error 4: sorry, have no idea!
