How Can I Make A Different Filename Extension with AIR?

i'm not @ english, want ask...

i work actionscript 2.0 , 3.0 6 years, i'm beginner air. please me!!!

 

i'm creating apps "sketchpad" air, , want make file saving system in it.

i'm wondering if file can saved file format(having different filename extension).

how can program this? i'll wait answer!! thank you. =)
