Question regarding scripting for check box autofill

hello everyone.  first, let me many of users admins in forum.  novice livecycle user, have learned incredible amount searching on forum , reading others.  now, on current question......

 

i using custom form created in livecycle es 8.2, , wondering how empower checkbox automatically fill in (ie. "on") based on number inputted numerical field using range criteria.  more specific, have (5) checkboxes labeled follows:

 

name: checkbox1     < 500

name: checkbox2     500 - 999

name: checkbox3     1,000 - 1,499

name: checkbox4     > 1,500

name: checkbox5     none

 

i want 1 checkbox auto fill in based upon number enter numerical field (called "numericfield1").  example, if enter number "889", want checkbox2 auto fill in.  unsure script use in script editor this.  appreciated.  in advance.

is after? used radio button exclusion group rather check boxes, although made radio buttons appear check boxes.
