Thread: Zain (SUDAN) connect stick modem

please on how configure huawei modem internet use.
i'm using ubuntu 8.04.4.

i take when insert stick doesn't (eventually) appear modem in network-manager?

have huawei e160x (i think) uses vodafone (uk) mobile network. seem recall before use modem, had insert machine running windows (i used xp) register or configure or such thing. after that, access through network-manager no problem. still use sometimes. it's nice modem, except it's locked vodafone , extortionate prices.

if still have problems, bottom link in sig [how use cellphone modem] might of use. program wvdial may particularly helpful. there's link there further info using mobile broadband.
