Thread: Rosewill RNX-N2LX wireless card not working-Lucid
hello,
cannot wireless card work. have been using ubuntu on year, relying on old, cheap asus adapter gets poor signal strength, has out of box ubuntu support.
decided upgrade rosewill rnx-n2lx because claimed out of box support. chipset realtek 819su.
however, when plug in, blue light flashes split second , goes dead. not recognized ubuntu wireless card, shows as: "realtek semiconductor corp." when type lsusb , nothing shows when type iwconfig. don't have wired connection, using old wireless adapter if there specific terminal commands should post, let me know , can disconnect , post them later.
have not found support how make card linux compatible (i using lucid 64 bit).
there linux driver on website, tried follow instructions, not "make-" computer freeze up. tried ndiswrapper no avail.
tried adding these 2 commands blacklist per newegg review:
blacklist rt2800usb
blacklist rt2870usb
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...scrollfullinfo
these reviews older version of card, thought still apply, or more naively, rosewill has cleared compatibility issues ubuntu.
appreciated.
edit: card not defective, works fine under xp.
here dmesg output:
