Editor - TinyMCE 2.0 stopped saving - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
editor - tinymce 2.0 did update joomla 1.5.15 , noticed editor not save , can not other menus. did search nothing on came up. blue status bar notifies change made or not never shows @ bottom of browser says done.
i've been having terrible difficulties several features of tinymce following release of joomla 1.5.12, still present in j! 1.5.15, 1 - disabling of tinymce's save function - has had me stumped long time until discovered clue in discussion topic. think have information may users looking explanation.
although it's possible features of tinymce fail because of version of joomla, or specific joomla template that's loaded, inclined think problem lies in browser ... or @ least implementation of javascript that's supported browser. example,
i asked myself question: surely developers have tested tinymce under firefox; how fundamental inability save article have gone unnoticed? have determined it's not firefox per se @ centre of issue. instead depends on firefox add-ons may have installed and, in particular, whether had installed "ie-like theme" me.
i disabled uninstalled ie theme using , reverted basic firefox theme. save function still not operate! however, cleared cache, reloaded page and, voilà, worked!
i not disputing people may continue have problems tinymce because of joomla template using. nonetheless, suggest investigate possibility problem lies within browser. of course, if is browser that's cause of problem, it's quite unsatisfactory or users need change browsers because of website, isn't it, particularly when earlier versions of tinymce did not exhibit bizarre behaviour.
