Stroke types and object corners options like in Indesign.

in illustrator cs3, there stroke type options , object corner options in indesign?

no.

 

some stroke types easy make, such dashes. dots can achieved using round cap , dash measure begins 0 (zero).

multiple strokes trickier. use appearance panel add new stroke. can offset different strokes achieve stoke/transparent/stroke patterns or stack white or coloured stroke on stroke achieve black/white/black strokes.

 

more elaborate stroke options possible in illustrator using pattern brushes.

 

as corner effects, 1 place illustrator falls flat on face. corner effect can apply rounded corner, , effect applies entire path, not corner-by-corner in indesign. illustrator’s rounded corners such other 90° corners.
