Thread: Grub out of disk error on boot. Every time.

edit: inaccurate, please see post #16 on page 2 actual situation

i'm more little confused this. little while had reinstall machine because had hard disk failure , replaced primary drive.

went smoothly, couple of weeks after when rebooted, dumped grub rescue console

code:
error: out of disk. grub rescue>
so, found solution problem on these forums, rebooted fine, , thought fine. until next time rebooted, when happened again. , now, every single time reboot, same issue.

have following, each , every time want reboot - , i'm @ loss explain why grub borking every time.

boot off live cd.
open konsole window

code:
sudo su - mount /dev/sda6 /mnt mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/boot mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc chroot /mnt grub-install /dev/sda update-grub2
and
code:
sudo reboot
non chroot'ed terminal window, , machine boots fine.

has else seen this?
