Thread: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and screen resolution

i installed ubuntu 10.04 lts on emachines t3092 desktop. particular model includes nvidia gforce4 integrated graphics. have dell flatscreen monitor connected via analog connection. best resolution can set 1024x768. image larger monitor can't see bottom task bar (except perhaps top 1/4th). also, mouse tracking off bit have click above need click.

if install restricted nvidia drivers maximum resolution goes 800x600, @ least can see whole image .

sound works fine, internet works fine -- it's graphics part haven't figured out.

any on issue? installing ubuntu friend , same thing happening , can not seem find fix
