Thread: 10.04 - "report incorrect urgency?"

hi all. gui seems stuck in sort of debug mode. if battery or network notification pops in upper right hand corner of screen...there lines thru popup (sort of looks 9 slicing), , looks debug message...."<urgencylevel> - report incorrect urgency?". i'm not sure might have been done in system turn these on....i know weren't there. idear how turn these off? thanks.

if you're me don't care if desktop settings restored defaults (i.e when first installed system).

in case, favorite recipe erase configuration files desktop. when restart default ones recreated in place. find convenient solution many desktop-oriented problems (not caring of drawback of losing settings).

how this:
1. open terminal (you find under applications -> accessories)

2. run:

rm -rf .gconf .gconfd .gnome2 .gnome2_private

technically, problem related 1 of these folders, find easiest remove of them.

3. restart computer (if want can restart gdm, faster, running

code:

sudo restart gdm

in terminal.)
