Change a batch of data in a PDF???

i have posted question in different section of these forums , suggested me post in scripting section.  first of have never done scripting (at least when comes pdf's) need great detail if there solution, here problem...

 

i have problem don’t know how fix.  i have stack of forms (300+ pages) wrong prices on them.  i not have original copies, or data files forms created from, hard copies in front of me.  all of pages/forms same format, have different data on each.  if scan pages pdf file, rather inclusive or separately, ocr them, looking suggestions on how go changing prices on each form. 

obviously can go through each one, 1 one, , change price , totals should using acrobat’s touch-up text tool, there way “mail merge” correct data scanned pdf’s.  by mail merge mean have spreadsheet date , price should date can use update pdf, reference correct price “date” field. 

any suggestions, or in lot of manual work?
