Getting error: "The ordinal 449179364 could not be located in the dynamic link library WINMM.dll"

so when start rendering video, message:

 

"the ordinal 449179364 not located in dynamic link library winmm.dll."

 

this followed "transcoder error" message, , application crash.  looked winmm.dll, , found here:

 

c:\windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-audio-mmecore-base_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385 _none_b5b6125db303b0f8

 

has encountered before, or found solution?

as sticky @ top of forum indicates, need know, @ least, following:

 

what operating system using? version of program using?

 

how fast processor , how ram have? how free, defragmented space on hard drive? have ensured have of windows updates (including non-critical updates, don't install automatically) , latest version of quicktime?

 

what type of camcorder video coming , how did computer? if using photos, have ensured photos no larger 1000x750 pixels in size?
