Page numbering = PDF numbering counter

hello,

i'm badly in need of help...

i have pdf cover , book text pages numbered 1 x p.

i inserted cover before first page, don't know how can book page numbering equal pdf page numbering counter.

i thinking of creating sections in pdf, quark xpress, in design or word... can't find out how !

 

any idea ?

acrobat provides 'page numbering' facility may help.

 

using acrobat professional - open page panel
(view > navigation panels > pages)
now, open options menu (the drop-down associated "cogwheel icon" in acrobat 9's pages panel).

select "number pages".
the page numbering dialog permits assigning different page numbering styles.
these may given prefix.
sections of pages can have different styles.
the value (1, 2, etc) start page of designated section can given.
configuration can assigned pages, selected pages (as selected in pages panel's page thumbnails) or specified range.
