Mac Pro drive confiuration

i'm buy new macpro box, base mac pro 2.8 quad.

i have 26" nec monitor, hoping add 30" nec that. have e-sata 5 bay burley external enclosure.

will running ps cs5,  lightroom, c1, premiere/fcp plus usual business related software doesn't push hardware much. i'm concentrating on photography aspect here, not video.

i'm pro photographer, running business, trying build need, while keeping hard eye on budget.

shoot 99.9% raw files, dslr 21mp + hi res film scan , medium format (45mp) raw. current lr catalog has 25,000 image files.

i'm down deciding on drive configuration. love hear comments or suggestion on how simplify or make more efficient etc.

 

put in after market ram bring 24mb 3x8mb chips, can later add 8mb chip make 32mb total (4x8mb).

stick base video card in base 2010 macpro.

 

boot (system + apps) - owc ssd drive 240gb - set scratch drive , have lightroom previews , catalog.

question - enough room scratch , lr previews , catalogs?

 

4 internal drive hd bays set as:

 

master 2x2tb hd's set-up raid-0 stripe - working files

 

time machine 2x2tb hd's set-up raid-1 mirror - of master ,

question - can manually have time machine lr previews , catalog ssd boot drive on?

 

external burley 5 bay.

 

set-up "archive". images files not in current active use. job finished , delivered, files moved master archive.

 

archive 1 - 2 tb hd

 

archive 1 (backup) - 2 tb hd

 

bays 3-5 remain empty , fill drives archive increases.

 

any comments, suggestions, improvements, flaws in reasoning?

yes, you've doen thorough job. however, observation. asking opinion of others on hardware selection more not confuses matters. on 1 hand, tell fine while on other suggest better alternative drive xyz, etc. having put effort in have change mind?
