Can'load png and gif images

hi,as said in title can' load images in flash builder 4(nor flex builder 3).everything works fine jpg files,but today made 1 logo in fireworks , exported png , gif file.

then tried put in application way use(with image component) nothing happens.am missing something,i thought  png , gif files used jpg format.

any appreciated.

should work. if change file extension jpg works png, or if change file extension 1 of .png files .jpg?
