My crop tool is un-freakin-usable.

my crop tool shows rounded arrows selection know, allows crop photos in unorthodox shapes.

how remove option? i'm tearing hair out. i've tried searching google sites visited list method of obtaining option, not disabling if show feature 'permanently'. i've tried clicking everywhere, pressing alt/ctrl/shift buttons no effect. maybe i'm not clicking on right spot or something?

 

using photoshop 7.0 though doubt method of disabling has changed throughout years.

do have perspective box checked?

 

draw out crop tool, in tool options bar, uncheck box

that says perspective , commit crop tool

remembers this.
