news systems for Joomla - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i'm typo3 user, use everyday @ work , on personal sites.

i'm thinking switching of personal sites typo3 joomla , have questions news.

typo3 has news extension: tt_news. equivalent in joomla world? tried looking through jed , can't seem find extension* same.

is there complete extension lets create news, news categories, display news lists, full articles, related news, etc? or done seperate extension? impression jed. way, typo3's equiv. of jed full of crap can used original developer - can same said jed's contents?

if typo3 extension doesn't want can extended either through hooks or xclassing, can done joomla extensions.

if such all-in-one system doens't exist already, why not? because not necessary? or because not possible way joomla works.

i'm interested in free news systems. if had pay it, write own.

this capability built core of joomla. no third party extension required unless want advanced displaying of news articles such scrolling items within module.
