Scanned document pdf file printing problem

i have hp8500 in 1 printer. when scan documents pdf file show fine when viewed. when print them via adobe reader approximately 3 inches down on paper , cuts off text @ bottom of page. if scan option of saving pdf searchable file file prints fine. normal pdf file indented top , not print properly. using latest version of adobe reader. checked hp , problem adobe. appreciated.
