since first started using lighroom, have kept images in 1 catalog on laptop hard drive. time change , move images nas, further backing copy of external drive, , keeping copies of images on laptop when undocked , want show best work.   seemed way use 2 catalogs, created new 1 images on nas.   after checking , making backup of laptop catalog, copied master folder of images , sidecars nas. opened new catalog empty , imported new location.   so, have 2 catalogs , both backed catalogs , complete image sets no matter what. let's call them laptop , network. have not yet deleted on laptop.   network found not images, somehow 21 more on laptop. cannot figure out how number of images different, are. not problem, curiousity, no?   all edits there. images identical laptop. keywords, image titles, folders - perfect.   but here questions:   i lost edit histories. mean if compare edited raw image on laptop. can see original image before started edit. helpful. on netw...

i seem have started losing keywords when edit files in cs5.   i have number of scanned images have keyworded & i'm going clean them in photoshop - editing original psd file. @ recent point in time, lightroom keywords have gone missing when save image in cs5.   i running windows 7 64, lr 3, cs5. installed lr 3.2 today , confirmed behaviour still happening, had started before upgrade.   has else seen this? hmmm... psds editing created in cs3. if change lr open cs3 instead of cs5 there no problem.   that makes cs5 bit useless me! i didn't know start forum, put under soundbooth because audio.  issue have been having finding high quality plugin or program fill in compression artifacts in music (especially .mp3).   purchase lot of music through i-tunes in quality of audio isn't decent movie projects.  program have found after purchase of adobe software, found under consumer company founded in germany called magix.  have amazing "brilliance enhancer" on production suite sequoia , decent basic version on audio cleaning lab prefer 1 in sequoia.  issue price.  basic production software $700 plus $300 cleaning , restoration suite, total of $1000!  need "brilliance enhancer" tool!  i'm not trying produce own music!  if me find stand-alone program uses computer algorithims fill in missing information tool found form magix.  needed advice.  google not work this! i installing cs5 , to transfer preferences cs4 (e.g., websites on dreamweaver , on). searched in 94 page document "cs5_a9_install_instruct_all.pdf" came software. searched in these forums, haven't found on subject. also, once cs5 installed , configured satisfaction, there andthing aware of unstalling cs4? or matter of going control panel , selecting "uninstall?" thanks. ask in forums of particular product in question 2 questions.  example indesign can't transfer prefs, , can't uninstall cs4 after installing cs5.  can both of things you'll have huge problems, best way leave cs4 on there , install cs5 on top.  dreanwaever may totally different, won't lot of in forum it.
