i have similar problem adobe acrobat. using cs3 , when goto "file", "open" photoshop starts dinging until file chosen. file open starts reduce in size steps. file may open @ 100% or larger progressively gets smaller until around 8.5%. stops of course small work with. scaling of image starts cycle on again. started 2 weeks ago. first acrobat noticed in photoshop. lightroom , illustrator not affected. suggestions how stop this? well, sound curious me. does rescaling let off long enough work eventually?   this not cause mischievous person have installed event script on machine? i have relatively new mac pro 3.32 ghz quad-core intel xeon 12 gb of ram. i'm using os 10.6.4. previous computer powermac g5 on used cs2 7 years perhaps couple of crashes in time. mac pro cs4 has crashed 4 times today alone! intel mac junk or cs4 crap? i'd go cs2 if work on computer. no chance in he%# i'm upgrading cs5!!!!! adobe don't seem care , want money. that's problem monopoly's! without seeing crash report, have no idea. it third party plugin, driver, os bug, etc.   most it's outside photoshop might able solve -- haven't given details solve it. hello, i'm trying run amplitube 3.0 , amplitube metal audition record guitar , bass band.   i can't seem work. i've gone add/remove vst directory, , selected amplitube folder. the vst plug-in manager comes , says, libsndfile-1.dll   i check that, doesn't anything. i've tried going mulitrack view , click fx , opened drop down menu supposed vst/amplitube option isn't there.   i tried opening midi track , going vsti plug-in manager in sequencer panal , says unsupported.     can help? can't work. not sure getting work, can tell libsndfile-1.dll *not* vst effect @ all.   can try open explorer , verify installation directory searching other files related amplitube.  may in c:\program files ore may in c:\stienberg or somewhere haven't checked.   and if pointing right place sure refresh effects list.  if doesn't work might 1 of plug-ins don't work in audition.  couldn't tell sure though, don't have one... i have simple site did layout in illustrator. main navigation simple text. can go in , put of effects on over state adn previews fine if hit paly button, if go run project dont work. if retype text in fc , add effect (3d rotate) works perfectly. has else run problem? there solution?   also, have tried converting outlines , doesnt trick either. also, through boxes behind text no fill (thinking clear button flash) didnt work. apprciated.   thanks ok, got partially working using ai file putting white box around each button , changing opacity 0% before bringing over. the effect still pretty glitchy. unless mouse on @ perfect spot sort of sit there , shake until mouse on perfect spot. once find perfect spot work justt fine. missing setting somewhere? since there trasparent image there isnt going off image, reminds me of.   any suggestions appreciated. the main computer use edit i7 920 6gb ram, asrock x58 extreme mobo, , radeon hd4870.  has win7 64-bit on , i'm using cs4.   i recenlty had client wanted update project we'd done in cs3, pulled project back-up hard drive , opened cs4.  did editing, when exported , burned dvd, quality terrible compared dvd of original project.  extremely blurry , looked if bitrate low (even though exported mpeg2-dvd @ 8mbps cbr).  i've worked on , exported other projects machine using cs4 , haven't had problems.  footage 720x480 ntsc 4:3 29.97.   after trying several different things fix problem, including starting new cs4 project , importing cs3 version exporting whole project microsoft dv avi file , letting encore transcoding, took project our old editing computer, loaded original in cs3 , did of editing on again.  when exported out of cs3 quality looked great.   just wondering if might know cause this.   thanks. i didn't notice quality difference myse...

i think i've narrowed down using tables in indesign cs5. i have 76 page document 10 tables, , indesign unusable, runs slow. this unacceptable! i think others having these issues...   i've tried tricks on these forums, , have assumed software issue. things i've tried: changing view options , preferences fastest options. trashed preferences exported markup.   any suggestions? thanks! jay do have auto preflight turned on? try disabling enable preflight on documents on bottom left of open document. thought, helps of our more complex documents. haven't had complex table filled documents though, lots of images, placed pdf pages , text.       i curious see if speeds things up. checking says preflight off in image above? notice speed increase after turning preflight off.   good luck!   have peace,   james More discussions in InDesign adobe

i have following image (this small jpeg version). need white background lid of scanner transparent, can't figure out how select without getting fine detail in rice paper edge lost. tired rescanning against black background, unfortunately, because rice paper thin, can see color place behind through paper itself.   here's image (please note, background color of image identical background of these posts, please keep actual borders in mind):     and here's larger version of file: http://dhnet.us/images/rice_paper.jpg . original .psd gig, there's lots of detail there. the scan seems bad, lines in background problem in opinion.   the best starting point seems b-channel rgb-file or b-channel of l*a*b-copy increased saturation.   but maybe easiest create custom brush-tip, add randomized shape dynamics , paint edge.
