our company in process of updating 1 of our computer systems plan update less used system within next 6 months or so. have purchased cs5 have not installed @ point.   if purchase 64bit system , run cs5 on it; , our system 32bit running cs5, files readable on both systems? our procedure files worked on either machine , stored on our server can access files either machine. don't want purchase 64bit system if can't read files.   any recommendations appreciated want order system in next few days. thank you. you'll have no problem due mixing 32 , 64 bit machines.   bob More discussions in InDesign adobe

i have 2 acer( ) veritron m261 computers. 1 of them refurbished , 1 works fine, other, new, has had problems day one. loaded windows xp, crashed after week of buying computer. took , got fixed, crashed again decided ditch it. few years later, discovered ubuntu 9.04 friend, installed , worked great! sort of. (firefox crashed more , we've had reinstall ubuntu 2 or 3 times.) had ubuntu 10.04 installed, , suddenly, computer wouldn't boot. said "free magic" or something. i have upgraded cs5 cs4. today, ran trouble when exporting files (created in indesign cs4, opened , saved in indesign cs5) pdf. there elements thrown around in pdf version. first, on multi-page document, photo removed rightful place , placed lower on page , on body text. solved first opening original indesign document, in cs4. when exporting pdf cs4, pdf appeared correct. solve in cs5, had group image other photos on page. seemed have anchored image.   i thought fluke, happened again, folio text. , text on master page. again, grouping left-hand , right-hand folio text corrected problem.   i using export pdf (print) feature. have jumping around different setting ( smallest file size our own printer provided setting). outcome same. when group objects corrects problem. far, have noticed first 2 pages affected.   all cs5 applications have been upgraded. indesign @ 7.0.2. acrobat @ 9.3.4.   any possible solutions? concerned in files send our printer pdfs. won't able cont...

hi, i've got big problem after upgrading joomla on website 1.5.7 1.5.15. my site uses custom developed components, modules, plugins , templates everything, , until upgrade, worked flawlessly. now still work except 1 instance. when try display page lot of data (at least 1000 records database, formatted html links other pages), pages don't display @ all. it seems type of output buffering , memory limits have been implemented prevent page displaying if page ends being large, because if place <?php exit (); ?> @ end of view component, see output, albeit without surrounding site template. has there been changes between 1.5.7 , 1.5.15 might have triggered this? seems memory related me, don't know sure. any appreciated! thanks i've done more testing , found upgrading 1.5.7 1.5.9 works fine. higher not work , triggers blank page on data. anyone have idea changed between 1.5.9 , 1.5.10 might causing this? ive got machine running x-ubuntu , have install lxde , dont lxde option in startup - xfce, gnome, terminal etc etc , not lxde. need tweak ? what packages did install, exactly? might need 2 lxsession-packages. safest bet of course installing lubuntu cd. can guarantee you, personal experience, won't have tweak lxde in list of available sessions. hell, didn't have when tried archlinux. did reboot between installing lxde , trying log it, way? otherwise, try lubuntu-desktop metapackage. manually picking every package starts 'lx' consider. oh yeah, lxdm isn't necessary, , might have scary prompt show up. worked fine me every time used it, gdm still trick. current problem (full explanation @ end), adobe reader not on computer (win 7 ultimate).  downloaded adobe's web site.  went through it's installation process seemingly , when bar reached it's fullest , read 100% installation box dropped off screen , nothing else happened.  ar not listed when choosing "open with" option when right clicking pdf file.  looking in control panel/programs , features not listed installed program.  i've retried installation multiple times multiple browsers (per adobe's suggestion).  please!   what got me point:  couple of weeks ago had unrelated problem , had go previous restore point.  worked fine except started having problems ar.  program not start.  got error message "acrobat failed load it's core dll".  tried reinstalling no improvement.  thought perhaps uninstalling ar , doing fresh install might trick.  uninstall went fine can't reinstall.  again, appeared reinstall okay no error...

i have put site , want registered users see vertain pages for example if jane registers , logs in can see home / contact / jane pages and john registers can see home / contact / john pages as cant have no chance of page being created automatically create individual pages. should straight forward anyone care give me clue you try using community builder or jomsocial. allow user have own page. เรียนถามผู้รู้ค่ะ ยังเป็นมือใหม่ joomla ค่ะ และไม่มีความรู้พื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับการเขียนเว๊ปมากมายนัก ปัญหาที่พบขณะกำลังสร้าง top menu คือ แถบว่างส่วนที่ยังไม่มีเมนูควรจะเป็นแถบสีดำ (ครั้งแรกลองทำใ้ห้มีเมนูจนเต็มช่องแล้วก็มีช่องนี้แทรกเข้ามาค่ะ แต่มีช่องนึงกลายเป็นสีลายๆขึ้นมาค่ะ จะแก้ไขยังไงดีคะ แนบรูป print screen มาให้ดูด้วยค่ะ (เซฟมาใน doc ค่ะ) ขอบคุณผู้รู้ทุกท่านล่วงหน้าค่ะ ดูรูปแล้วเหมือนจะเป็นรูป weblinks.jpg จาก folder images/stories น่ะครับ เข้าใจว่าคงจะไปใส่ image ให้กับ menu ด้วยหรือเปล่าตอนสร้างเมนูใดเมนูหนึ่งของ top menu วิธีตรวจสอบ 1. เข้า joomla admin 2. เข้า menus เลือก top menu 3. ตรวจสอบ แต่ละเมนูของ top menu เลือก edit เมนูขึ้นมาดูทีละอัน (เริ่มจากเมนูสุดท้ายก่อนก็ได้) แล้วดูตรง parameters ทางขวามือของหน้า joomla admin edit menu ว่าได้เลือกกำหนด menu image ไว้หรือไม่ ถ้ามีเลือกไว้ เช่น weblinks.jpg ให้เปลี่ยนค่าเป็น none selected แล้ว save 4. ตรวจสอบหน้าเวบ frontpage ว่าภาพตรง top menu หายไปหรือยัง Board index Joomla! basically want find template has module on header (banner). change image or banner depending on article or link flexheader. added example of template i'm looking for. go have @ www.joomla24.com loads of free templates. or use search engine of choice find there loads out there. if want invest in future simplicity can artisteer, nice little template design tool. hi,   i output gallery output tab of adobe bridge, upload server people see.   the link like: www.mydomain.com/birthday2010   but notice have explicitly type "index.html" this:  www.mydomain.com/birthday2010/index.html   that's bummer because hard enough send out photo links bunch of people without getting poeple call saying didn't url right or cant see pics. longer url , more slashes , dots worse gets.   is there way around this? sorry lazy question i'm evaluating multiple products simultaneously , feel should 1 easy question convince me buy product!   i'm importing h.264/mpeg-4 avc 1080/60p mp4 files sanyo xacti fh1a.    when play them in premier pro editor these clips jump on place , filled visual glitches.  in other applications adobe premier elements 8.0 , corel videostudio pro x3 play flawlessly in editor window.   however, once export edited footage premier pro resulting video looks fine.   problem appears in editor playback.   besides 1 issue it's best app i've evaluated.   so 1 question:  will problem go away registered version of app?   btw computer specs are:   intel core 2 duo cpu e6850 @ 3.00 ghz 64-bit win 7 8 gb ram x 800 mhz geforce 480 gtx   thanks help! the limitation of trial lack of mpeg-2 support @ level. affects other mpeg formats, not @ 100% level mpeg-2. because mpeg affected, issue might go away, full-paid ver...

hi this first ever time trying joomla working, frustrated right now! problem menu items in admin not working (site, menus, content, etc) , never have me. appear in browser fine not links , canot clicked. also have (what assume are) related symptoms that: a) sub menus in back-end not work (e.g. "system" , "server" on global config page) b) cannot insert image "insert" button on image insert page not work c) 'next' button on database config page of web browser install of joomla did not work. had manual install. most other functionality seems fine, can add article, section, etc etc , populate joomla site, no images , no menu access on backend suggests wrong. my guess there javascript problem javascript allowed in both firefox , ie browsers using. i using xampp 1.7.1 (includes php 5.2.x no prob using php 5.3.0) any appreciated.
