i've imported number of old scanned family photos lightroom 2.7 running on windows xp.  there no metadata except scan date, sort file name. the naming convention use yyyy-mm-dd.scan.<unique number>.jpg.  if don't know precise date substitute 'x' unknown day, month, or year, have lot of file names start, example, 196x-xx-xx.scan...  because know photo taken in 60's, that's know. the problem?  lightroom sorts 198x-xx-xx before 1915-xx-xx.  know it's lightroom sorting algorithm because had same problem windows explorer , able fix registry hack. is there way turn off feature in lightroom? there no way in lr alter way in prioritises sort. adding x instead of number source of problem, easier use real number instead. 1961 more or less accurate 196x? there such a  year?  it's easier follow rules try create own. in efforts avoid three-column master page crashing bug in cs5, tried exporting idml cs4. , discovered troubling. here xml tags before export:     note position of index markers. here same bit of text after opening idml in cs4:     that's right! -- closing xml tags of index-marked elements have gone , have apparently turned index markers @ start of elements! it's not well-formed xml anymore. needless say, attempting generate index causes crash. does cs5 open idml correctly? i have photoshop cs (2003).  i've been using on regular basis without problems.  2 nights ago using , not having problems, , printed out few pictures.  left open while printed huge file , in morning noticed photoshop wasn't responding.  had use task manager close out file. tried restarting , froze again.  did cold boot of system.  same results.  tried uninstalling via control panel. chose option keep activation info on reinstall had same freezing up.  tried uninstalling via control panel remove activation info.  tried reinstalling.  "an error has been detected , product cannot continue.  please reinstall application."  well, i've tried.  , don't have luck.  , tried going in , deleting program file, didn't help.  , instructions on how remove registry info , go 'documents , settings' me no since operating system sophisticated (i think windows 7, can't figure out how find out - give me windows xp back!) can't find a...

i purchased cs5 master collection (student edition) , able install , use software included in serial key provided unable use serial key register acrobat, there seperate serial key i'm missing or acrobat not included in cs5 master collection? i'm not sure student edition licensing know acrobat 9 has remained unchanged since cs4 exception of adobe updates software.  installed cs5 upgrade cs4 same price buying student edition , chose not install acrobat since on system. i need reinstall flash cs4 because somehow broke cs4 version of bridge last week. *know* i've got installer somewhere on hard drive have been unsuccessful in locating it.   can give me hint installer name? i've done searches on "adbe", "adbeflpen", looked .dmg files, , half dozen other tries. don't need full file name few characters enable search big help. i'm on pc.   thanks! after posting above occurred me downloaded .dmg may have self-destructed after installation. thoughts on or appreciated!
